Router Protocol Launches Testnet for Router Chain
Router Protocol announced on Wednesday, May 23rd that it has launched the testnet of its Layer 1 blockchain, Router Chain. The main purpose of Router Chain is to increase Web3 adoption by resolving existing issues with cross-blockchain communications like security, scalability, decentralization and a lack of true cross-chain dApps.
Features Offered By Router Chain
Router Chain grants developers numerous benefits including infra-level flexibility, modular security, MetaMask compatibility, Cross-chain Meta Transactions, Acknowledgements and Refunds, Decentralized Read Calls Transaction Batching Atomicity Expiry Timestamp etc.
Testnet Launch Supports Multiple Blockchains
The testnet launch also allows external validators to participate in the network for the first time making it possible to achieve true decentralisation. The protocol has already started onboarding external validators with a goal to onboard over 60 during testnet to secure it further. These blockchains include Ethereum (Goerli), Polygon (Mumbai), Avalanche (Fuji), Base and BNB chain blockchains.
Benefits Of Using Routers Protocol’s Router Chain
Using Routers Protocol’s Router chain offers many advantages such as infra-level flexibility which means that developers are no longer limited to a single type of bridging infrastructure but can develop IDAPPS – apps that are interoperable by default using their stateful or stateless infra depending upon their requirements along with Modular Security which implies that dApps can implement their own security measures on top of the baseline security model provided by the Router Chain .
Final Thoughts
The launch of the router protocol’s router chain marks an incredible milestone for them as it enables developers access to numerous features while making web 3 adoption easier than before.
