It all started in late 2002.
The Edinburgh Partnership Group did some preliminary research into the development of an Edinburgh City Region Brand.
This outlined the case for an Edinburgh City Region Brand — we then applied for funding under the Scottish Executive's Cities Growth Fund in 2003.
The project was awarded funding of £800,000 over the three-year period from 2003 to 2005. In other words, it's a big investment in Edinburgh's future.
