Forth Ports
Forth Ports PLC (Forth Ports) runs a group of regionally based
ports in the central belt of Scotland and Tayside. We are the
largest port grouping in Scotland and the largest ports company
listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Forth Ports provides high levels of handling
and logistic-related services, enabling customers to move goods
cost effectively and efficiently. Our property division is involved
in the long-term development and regeneration of waterfront sites
in the Edinburgh City Region to promote a series of integrated
communities.
Our business interests mean that we operate in
business, tourism and residential property markets and see the
Edinburgh Inspiring Capital Brand as key to a thriving Edinburgh
City Region.
How is Forth Ports adopting the
Edinburgh Inspiring Capital Brand?
Our key project was working with the Edinburgh
Inspiring Capital team to dress the cruise liner terminal in
Leith. The terminal greets over 30,000 passengers each
year. Before working with the Brand the terminal was an empty
shell. We now have 15 large screens with iconic images of
Edinburgh that greet our passengers as they come into the
terminal. The screens are mobile so we can move them to
different areas of the building depending on the event.
We use images of Edinburgh and the wider city
region on the screens. These give passengers immediate impressions
of the many attractions of Edinburgh. They also see the logo
on the screens as soon as they disembark from the ship.
The
Brand logo gives them an immediate sense of welcome and
communicates Edinburgh City Region’s strong identity. We carry the
branding through to our promotional work, using Brand images and logos to brand trade shows
and presentations.
The team at Edinburgh Inspiring Capital were
great at helping us to come up with an innovative solution to dress
the cruise liner terminal in Leith.

How will you develop your relationship
with Edinburgh Inspiring Capital in the future?
We want to continue our positive relationship
with Edinburgh Inspiring Capital. We frequently welcome VIPs to the
city region and would like to use Brand materials in our welcome
packs.
