Arts and Business (A&B)
Arts & Business (A&B) was established over 30 years ago
and has become a world leader in engaging business with the arts,
offering intelligence to both sectors on how to benefit from
partnership working. Now a substantial creative network,
A&B Scotland works to promote arts engagement through events,
advice, training and membership.
An engagement with the arts can assist a business reach new
customers, develop their workforce, fulfil corporate social
responsibility objectives and offer branding opportunities. Arts
organisations enjoy the support that a business or a business
individual’s skills can offer to deliver valuable and much needed
arts activity.
A&B Scotland joined forces with Edinburgh Inspiring Capital
(EIC) for the 2007 A&B Scottish Awards. Over 400 guests
from business, the arts, government and media enjoyed dinner on the
stage of the Edinburgh Festival Theatre before an awards ceremony
which acknowledged and celebrated successful partnerships between
businesses and the arts in Scotland. EIC were keen to promote
Edinburgh and its many arts venues and cultural activities to
guests who had travelled from throughout Scotland. EIC
created and produced a co branded promotional display at the venue
and EIC branding was also placed inside the front cover in the
awards programme which was given to all guests at the
ceremony. A&B displayed the EIC logo on large screens on
stage following the presentation of the awards when the formalities
were finished and guests were free to network. Together
A&B and EIC worked to promote Edinburgh and celebrate the arts
in Scotland to a wide Scottish audience.
