Edinburgh's vision unveiled at MAPIC
November 19- 21, 2008
Once again Edinburgh exhibited at MAPIC, the worlds premier
retail property event. the Edinburgh stand was fully
branded using the Edinburgh Inspiring Capital logo, colours,
images and DVD. With over 10,000 participants, the
event allowed Edinburgh to promote the many opportunities,
both existing and future, to over 2000 retailers in attendance.
The importance of positioning Edinburgh as a potential
investment opportunity was recognised. By delivering a
more popular and profitable commercial environment this can
have massive consequences on the quality of life in a
city.
Recently published Development Briefs for Princes Street focused
attention on Edinburgh’s vision to restore its reputation as the
‘must visit’ street in a city of world renown. New retail brands,
investors, developers and other cities met
with the team to discuss the practical steps to
enable this revitalisation, with many making commitments to place
themselves in Edinburgh in the very near
future.
Seminars and individual meetings allowed the exchange and
sharing of information on market trends, benchmark best practice in
retail real estate and reinforce private/public
relationships. MAPIC also presented an unrivalled opportunity
to promote the wider Edinburgh city region on a global stage.
Edinburgh will also be
attending MIPIM, the world's premier real estate
summit from 10-13 March 2009. For more information please
