Edinburgh Inspiring Capital leading the way in
microelectronics

Edinburgh based microelectronics firm Wolfson have just bought
over the semiconductor firm Oligon for £2.9 million.
Edinburgh has long enjoyed a national and international reputation
in the field of electronics. Wolfson are leading Edinburgh’s
microelectronics revolution and are widely regarded as
world-leaders in microchip components. Clients that have used
Wolfson’s technology include Apple, Sony and Microsoft.
Oligon integrates microphones into semiconductors and is said to be
a neat bolt-on to Wolfson’s existing capabilities.
It is believed that Wolfson will benefit from the new Apple i-phone
which has just been unveiled.
