Showstopping Fun in Edinburgh Inspiring Capital!

Edinburgh, the Inspiring Capital, is to
play host to Show Scotland 06, a creative events weekend
celebrating Scotland's museums and galleries. This new and
vibrant initiative, led by the Scottish Museums Council, offers
visitors from Scotland, the UK and overseas a fun and exciting
programme of events to entertain amuse and enjoy over the bank
holiday weekend 28 April – 1 May.
Show Scotland 06 is a completely unique event in Scotland .
It is inspired by museums and galleries cultural celebrations in
New York and Amsterdam , where the ‘Museum Mile Festival’ and ‘n8’
bring in 50,000 and 30,000 visitors respectively. It
might be a little different to what you might usually find going on
at your local museum or gallery – expect the unexpected at Show
Scotland 06!
Events happening include, Fancy Dress Parties at the Museum of
Childhood , quizzes and folk singing at the Museum of Edinburgh ,
guided tours of Museum of Edinburgh and an evening with Robert
Burns at The Writers’ Museum.
