Ceilidh Culture celebrated in Scotland's Inspiring Capital

Edinburgh - Inspiring Capital is proud to host the fourth annual
Ceilidh Culture festival, the city's vibrant spring celebration of
traditional arts featuring song, music, dance and
storytelling. Over 30 organisation are on board for what
promises to be the biggest and most diverse event so far, with a
total of 154 concerts and workshops throughout the city, from small
community venues to large concert halls, from 1st - 2nd
April. Launching the programme today Councillor Ricky
Henderson, Executive Member for Sport, Culture and Leisure
said:
“Ceilidh Culture is three weeks of high quality music and arts.
The Council is proud to support this dynamic festival, which is
fast becoming an integral part of the city’s cultural fabric.
Personally, I’m looking forward to sampling as many of the
programme’s highlights as possible.”
This year’s Ceilidh Culture Launch Concert at The Queen’s Hall
on Friday 31 March features Edinburgh as its theme. Anna Wendy
Stevenson and Jock Tamson’s Bairns will perform the pieces ‘My
Edinburgh’ and ‘Fergusson’s Auld Reekie’.
