Image help
In order to download images you must first register with
www.edinburghbrand.com. If you have already registered, then please
log-in at the top right hand of the page.
Users to this site can shortlist a number of images which will
then be added to the My saved images area of the website. The
images can be saved in this area and either downloaded in this
session or saved for a later session. Users will be asked to
complete a short form prior to download in order to track the use
of the images and improve the image library in the future.
Image Search
You can search for images by selecting one of the image
categories such as Abstract and Detailed or Buildings and
Skylines. To see all images select the All Images category
from the drop down menu in the search tab. To use the search
function insert a search term into the search bar on the left
hand side for example "sunny". For multiple search terms
separate words with a comma for example "girl, sunny" or to search
for two search terms type in the wprds seperated by the word
or for example a search for "castle or gallery" will bring up all
castle images and all gallery images.
Process of downloading images
1. Navigate to the image that you want
2. Click on the image name to open up a new page with
more information on the image. You can either click on the
"add to my saved images" from this page, or by ticking the
relevant the "select this image" checkboxes from the results
page and then pressing the "add to my saved images" button.
3. Once you are finished selecting images you can navigate
to the My saved images area from any page in the website to review
the images you selected.
4. The My saved images area is your personal area where you can
manage your selection of images. You can browse more images
to add to your selection, remove unwanted images or proceed to
download your images.
5. Once you are happy with your selection tick the download
checkbox for all images that you would like to download and then
click the proceed button. The images will remain in the My
saved images area regardless of whether they
are downloaded or not.
6. Prior to downloading the images you will be asked a number of
short questions about where the images will be used. This form is
to capture data so the image library can remain a free resource and
available to all.
6. Once the form is completed as fully as possible press the
submit button.
7. This will take you to the download area where you can right
click on the format of the image you require and save the
image to your own PC. Please note images can only be
downloaded individually and not as a batch. For information
on the different formats available please read our notes on images
section.
Managing My saved images
In order to download any image you must first add it to the My
saved images area. This area is your own personal area for images
that you have previously selected. Images can be stored here and
downloaded at a later date.
In this page images can be selected for download or removed from
the My Saved Images area. To download an image, tick the checkbox
and press proceed.
To remove an image, tick the check box and them press remove
selected images.
