What will DEMA Deliver?
The DEMA Project was initiated in April 2008. The project
is taking forward the findings from the
‘Promoting Edinburgh as a Destination Task Group’ Report (PDF opens
in a new window), prepared by the Communication Group – a
leading communication consultancy. The Project's objectives
are:
- A customer-focused “one-stop shop” that adds value for its
partners and the customer.
- Articulate a Destination promotion strategy
- Form new local, national and international perceptions for
Edinburgh as a destination
- Shared promotion of Edinburgh and catalyst for public-private
partnerships (and maximising collaborative opportunities).
- Dedicated city marketing and promotion function partnering with
the national agencies (VisitScotland/SDI).
It is the first two of these that form the current focus for the
project.
