Derek McCulloch is currently a partner and Head of Commercial
Department for Gillespie Macandrew.
Derek McCulloch, dual qualified as a Solicitor in Scotland and
England & Wales, is Head of the Commercial Client Department
(which includes Corporate; Commercial; IP; and Commercial Property
teams) for Gillespie Macandrew.
While his professional skills cover Contract, International
Trade and Energy, his experience includes sponsorship of a Formula
1 team and European Athletics; cross–border corporate, engineering,
energy & trade deals; and co-ordination of UK/European advice
to major multinationals.
He is Vice President of Lexwork International (global network);
a Director of Signet Accreditation Limited (professional
education); and is a former Council member of Edinburgh Chamber as
well as a Committee Member of the West End association
Derek has over 15 years directing the marketing of his law firm
and has spoken at various professional and business seminars,
providing him with experience of ambassadorial and representative
roles. He has also advised on development of a range of
global and trading businesses and has experience of inward and
outward investment projects as well as University spin outs and
commercialisation deals.
Born in Edinburgh, he is strongly committed to advancing the
interests of Edinburgh and Scotland.
